There is not modification required to your wiring harness. The USB head is pictured next to a 10p piece to give you an ideas of how small it it. This is the only thing you will have to mount to the handlebars or your place of choice. You will need to mount it at the place of your choice.... I have mine mounted on the front tank cover trim It is waterproof with the cap down and is a 2 amp charger with built in 12v to 5v converter so USB charger cables can be plugged straight into it.
